JOB TITLE
Project Manager
REPORTS TO
Project Director
The purpose of this position is to oversee all aspects of the building process working closely with engineers, architects and general contractors to develop plans, establish timetables, and determine labor and costs.  Responsibilities involve project planning, distributing resources, managing the budget and managing relationships with key participants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:

  • Ability to understand the contractual terms and requirements of projects and uphold BAPKO’s interest
  • Responsible for organizing and coordinating the project’s schedule with BAPKO’s departments and subcontractors to maintain the customers’ expectations
  • Ensure projects meet cost requirements as well as updating forecasted revenue and costs reports
  • Routinely meet with customers and vendors to identify potential issues and problem solve them
  • Communicate regularly with our customer’s project specific team in order to facilitate our scope of work
  • Assures proper accounting for project change orders in a timely manner
  • Visit job sites as needed
  • Manage projects with a hands-on and team effort approach including meeting strict deadlines
  • Other duties and tasks may be assigned

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate Degree and/or 2-5+ years Project/Construction Manager experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of AISC standards, AWS codes, and fabrication and erection standards and procedures
  • Skillset that includes strong leadership, organization, detail-oriented, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret shop and design blueprints
  • Ability to run multiple projects, in varying sizes, at various stages of construction and be able to convey ideas in a clear and concise manor in a variety of situations
  • Computer skills and ability to learn new programs
